on how to submit your work.
Submitting Short Stories, Poetry, and Interviews:
We want this to be the heart
of the new qvOnline, and it will work similar to a community
blog.
We
are looking for short stories, poetry, and even personality profiles where you can interview your friends
or role models to discuss various aspects that affect
the gay Latino community.
We
are looking, particularly, for inspirational stories--stories
with a positive angle that will inspire younger members
of our community and make the older ones proud. They should
pass a litmus test where you would be comfortable enough
to have your family members read them and feel that they
would be proud and not embarrased while reading. In other
words, we're not looking for any pornography here. Articles
will be minimally edited for grammar and typos.
You
are free (and encouraged) to submit photos or artwork
to accompany your writing.
We
will add our favorite submissions on a monthly basis,
to begin with. As time passes, we will up the frequency.
At this time, no compensation will be made in exchange
for the articles. However, writers who show particular
talent may be chosen to cover various media celebrity
events such as awards shows.

Submitting
Events - Nonprofit Organizations
The
NEW QV will include a calendar section open to all nonprofit
organizations--particularly those that serve the gay,
Latino, and gay Latino communities. Mixers, conferences,
support groups are all welcome to submit.
If

Submitting
Events - For-Profit Nightclubs and Bars
The
NEW QV will soon begin accepting paid-for banner ads for
nighclub and bar promoters who wish to advertise special
events or weekly specials. These will be minimal in cost
(approximately $25), and will be implemented in early
2009.
We
also offer a FREE comprehensive list of Latin Gay clubs
across the country. You are welcome to submit your club's
information to us so we can keep our lists up to date.

Submitting Press Releases.
Companies
and organizations wishing to send press releases about events
or political items are encouraged to submit their information.
If you feel your release is relevant to the Gay Latino community,
we will offer a section on qvmagazine.com that will be organized
by topic.

for information on where to send your products for review.
We are open to including literary, movie, music, and many
other product reviews that we determine relevant to the
gay and Latino communities.
