Of course, romance plays a big role at every point of a good, solid relationship. A new love affair needs romance to get the ball rolling just as a relationship developing over days, weeks, months, years, and even decades needs romance to keep the spark alive-to remind one another of the reason you two found yourselves together in the first place. Romance is also a fun way to find out what makes your man smile, what makes him laugh, and also, what turns him on. In this issue, you'll look at romance and dating at every stage of the game-from a first "Blind Date" to a relationship that has lasted for many years. You'll also read some words of poetry from the hearts and minds of some talented Latinos from across the nation. In addition to romance, you'll also see a romantic photo spread in which a couple share with us new tips on how you can be romantic-right in the comfort of your own home. Also, in this issue, you'll find some new surprises! The first surprise, as you might have already guessed, is our new qvCover design! This design represents a distinctive growth for qvMagazine. It also represents our commitment to be an innovative and breakthrough publication! The second surprise is our first ever fictional story in qvMagazine! This is a funny, yet, realistic story about a strange coincidence that could lead to romance. It's a story about two buddies named Mark and Tito! The next surprise is qvCenterfold poster! It's a poster that depicts one of the many beautiful looks of the Latino culture. It also includes a poem to make your heart melt, and to put some romance in your life! So pull it out and hang it on your wall! And the last surprise is a really big surprise! Coming August 1999 is the 2nd Annual Latino Beach Pride Party '99! This event will take place on a yacht! It will be a time of music and dancing, and it will be "all on the sea." Join us as we celebrate what could be the biggest and best event of its kind to end the summer of 1999. In terms of where you can find qvMagazine, we will be at both the Long Beach and San Francisco QV Pride events in May and June 1999, respectively. Come visit our qvBooth at both locations, get your picture taken while you're at it, and go dance the night away with some fine papi at the qvMagazine-sponsored "Latin Tents!" It will be a blast! to qv9, the Romance Issue! When we think of romance, images of
flowers, chocolates, candlelight dinners, moonlit walks on the
beach, a quiet evening next to a fireplace are some of the many
that come to mind. To share this romance with a fine papi is
such an incredible and exciting feeling-and a very important
part in all our lives-that we have decided to dedicate an entire
issue to Romance.
