qvMagazine Volume One Number Five the "faith" issue July/August 1998 ON THE COVER Our qv5 cover model is Jay "Louie" Williams. A military brat, he lived abroad most of his life. For Louie, "home" is along many fronteras. Currently, he does HIV prevention/education work. He attended the University of New Mexico before he ventured out to the City of Angels where he graduated from Cal State University Los Angeles with a BA in child psychology. As a student-athlete, Louie swam for both the UNM Lobos and the CSULA Golden Eagles swim teams. To support himself through school, he bartended at Arena and Circus Disco in Hollywood por tres años. Occasionally, Louie can be seen bailando at San Jose's ¡Club Papi! as a dancer.
