LATINA SUPERSTAR PAULINA RUBIO TALKS ABOUT HER CROSS OVER FROM SPANISH TO ENGLISH MUSIC!

Paulina Rubio has long been a star in the Spanish pop music world. And now, with her first English album, “Border Girl,” she’s poised to become a true international pop star.

This wonderful album is filled with the sensibility, quality, and integrity that all great pop albums should have. And probably the best part of this project—especially for those who already know Paulina’s music—is the amazing way in which the songs from her last Spanish album are translated into English in such a true and effective way. Indeed, this diva has managed to grow and polish her infectious Spanish pop sounds and suit them perfectly to the English market.

When I tell Paulina just how much the staff of QV likes her album, Paulina responds, “I’m so happy you guys like it—I’m very excited!” With a big smile, she continues, “I’m very happy about the experience and the opportunity. I don’t favor a particular track over the other, I mean the whole album is about me, so I love every single different rhythm.”

Suddenly, in the middle of the interview, Paulina turns the tables and asks me, “So, Luther, have you played any of these songs for your friends?” I smile and nod, knowing that as soon as my friends knew I had a copy, it wasn’t long before I was bombarded by people who wanted to listen to it. And of course, I was glad to play it.

Then she smiles and exclaims, “You know we should do a party at a QV club!” ...
