Welcome to the 2nd Annual qvAwards! This is the awards celebration where YOU choose the winners! In late 2001, we conducted a poll to find out your favorites in music, television, and movies! And now we’ve got the winners! The envelope please...

This year’s big qvWinner is pop superstar Enrique Iglesias. Enrique overtakes Y2K favorite, Ricky Martin, and picks up two qvAwards for “Favorite Latino Celebrity” and “Favorite Male Singer.”

For the second year in a row, Jennifer Lopez is named your “Favorite Latina Celebrity,” while comedienne Ellen DeGeneres wins the “Favorite QV or Lesbian Celebrity” award.

In music, Madonna wins the “Favorite Female Singer” award, while Destiny’s Child wins as “Favorite Group.” Your favorite album was “Paulina” by Latin diva Paulina Rubio while Mary J. Blige picks up the “Favorite Song” award for “Family Affair.”

In television, the sitcom “Will & Grace” wins as Favorite “Television Series” while its star, Eric McCormack wins the Favorite Male TV Actor award. “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Sarah Michelle Gellar repeats as “Favorite Female TV Actress.”

Finally, in motion pictures, you have named the Mexican independent film “Amores Perros” as “Favorite Movie.” Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt win “Favorite Movie Actress” and “Favorite Movie Actor,” respectively. It is also noteworthy that Latino actor Jay Hernandez comes in a close second to Pitt as Favorite Movie Actor.
