So you want to be a great ball player just like your idol Alex Rodriguez? But where do you go if you want to play ball, not with straight guys, with other QV men just like yourself? Well, this should help you! You can check out the North American QV Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA), which counts 50 official QV softball leagues in 30 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada! In Los Angeles, for example, there is a league called Greater Los Angeles Softball Association, or GLASA. This league has over 30 teams with divisions for both men and women, as well as both novice and highly experienced ball players. Furthermore, they also hold developmental clinics for those who are less experienced and wish to gain the basic skills before each season. And what about if you want to join a team comprised primarily of Latino players? In Los Angeles alone, there are three teams that you can check out. They are-the Bienestar Traviesos, the AltaMed Bandits, and the Wall-Las Memorias' Mayan Warriors. The entire QV softball league season culminates with the QV Softball World Series! This year's World Series will take place August 11-18, 2001 in San Francisco, and it will mark the 25th Silver Anniversary of the QV Softball World Series 2001. So whether you want to play the game, or just sit in the bleachers and cheer on your friends, get involved in softball! To get more information about the leagues in your area, visit www.nagaaa.org
