Our
qv17 cover model is 23-year-old Adam Laino. This handsome
multi-talented New Yorker is currently hard at work
pursuing a career in acting and modeling. When he's
not working, this papi enjoys all kinds of sports-especially
football, basketball, and swimming. He also loves to
dance to Latin and Tribal house music.
One
of the most interesting things about Adam is that he’s
straight! However, Adam is very comfortable around gay
men. He tells us, “Most of my friends are gay.
I feel like I identify more with gay people than with
straight people.”
qvMagazine’s
New York photographer, Luna Luis Ortiz, confirms Adam’s
gay-friendly attitude. Luna says, “Adam is really
my only straight friend. He is very comfortable in his
skin. Unlike some other straight guys, he is able to
take a compliment from a gay guy and not take it the
wrong way.”
Adam
told us that he’s currently single, so we asked
him what he likes most about women. He stated, “The
way they smell.” Then, just for the fun of it,
we asked him what he likes most about men. And what
was Adam’s response? “Trust,” he said.
Finally,
we asked Adam about what piece of wisdom he had to share
with our qvReaders. His response was to be optimistic,
and that “the key to success lies within your own
ambition.” Adam’s certainly got ambition,
and we know he’ll make it to the top as a successful
model and actor!
Adam
is certainly comfortable with himself and with other
people— including gay people— and that’s
what being a real man is all about! He’s a true
friend of the community.
